Unlimited global eSIM fair-use rules
Unlimited describes the marketed data, not every usage condition
Unlimited does not by itself prove unrestricted full-speed usage. A provider can apply a full-speed allowance, a reduced post-cap speed, a reset window or separate hotspot terms.
An unknown term means the checked evidence does not yet state it. It does not mean that no limit exists.
Five terms to compare separately
- Advertised unlimited data
- The provider markets continued data access as unlimited. This alone does not define the speed or hotspot policy.
- Full-speed allowance
- The amount of data available before a stated speed reduction. The allowance can reset daily or by billing cycle.
- Post-cap speed
- The stated speed after the full-speed allowance is used. A source can also leave this undisclosed.
- Reset period
- The interval after which the allowance starts again, when the provider states one.
- Hotspot limit
- Whether tethering is allowed and whether it has a separate cap. This is independent from phone data use.

What a reduced speed can affect
- Navigation
- Directions can still depend on a stable data connection. Download offline maps before travel when the route is important.
- Video
- A lower speed can reduce quality or cause buffering. The table reports provider limits, not a streaming-performance guarantee.
- Internet calls
- Data calls can become less stable after a speed reduction. Carrier voice calls on another SIM use that carrier line instead.
- Remote work
- Large transfers, cloud tools and video meetings can become less reliable. Check the allowance and reset period before relying on the plan.
- Hotspot use
- Connected devices share the tethered connection. A provider can permit phone data while limiting or not disclosing hotspot use.
How pending evidence is handled
Not yet verified is preserved when the repository has no primary-source-backed value. A source conflict remains visible until the provider pages agree or the conflict is otherwise resolved by direct evidence.
