How esimdata verifies and ranks global eSIM plans

Source priority

1. Use the provider's current product, checkout or plan page for the price and plan identity.
2. Use the provider's help center or terms for fair-use, hotspot, installation and renewal conditions.
3. Use the provider's official coverage page for marketed country claims and country lists.
4. Do not replace a missing provider fact with a marketplace, comparison site or unsourced summary.

When two current provider sources disagree, both statements remain visible. The site does not choose a convenient value by inference.

Checked dates and stale facts

Each volatile value carries the date on which its source was checked. A value older than 14 days receives a stale badge at build time. A content update date is separate: sitemap lastmod changes only when the page content changes substantively, not when the site is rebuilt.

Unknown and conflicting states

• Not yet verified means the checked evidence does not support a value.
• Not disclosed means a checked source did not state the field.
• Source conflict means current provider sources state different facts. Both sources and dates remain visible.
• An unknown or conflict is never converted into a favorable claim.

Ranking formula

For each requested trip length, eligible options are ranked by covering purchase price in USD, lowest first. A shorter term breaks a price tie. The stable plan ID breaks any remaining tie. Affiliate status is never an input.

Per-duration selection

Version 1.1, effective 2026-08-04. Eligible plans are live unlimited global plans that cover the requested duration. A prepaid plan must have at least that many duration days. A subscription covers a request within its cycle length. We select one shortest covering option per provider before ranking.

An exact prepaid term is labelled as an exact match. A longer term is labelled as covering the requested days. A subscription is labelled with its cycle. The 30 day comparison shows the resulting option from each provider.

Correction process

1. Record the reported or detected error and the affected source-backed field.
2. Recheck the current primary source and preserve any disagreement found.
3. Correct a confirmed publication error within 48 hours of discovery.
4. Rebuild the affected page and rerun metadata, schema, sitemap and non-regression checks.

Claims we do not publish

• Speeds or network-quality scores that were not measured under a disclosed method.
• Invented ratings, reviews, availability or first-hand testing.
• A winner claim outside the stated eligibility and ranking formula.
• A volatile plan fact without a source and checked date.

Affiliate status by provider

Commission never influences ranking, ordering or result copy. The provider status below is disclosed, not rewarded.
